Make Beautiful Sunshine Easter Eggs Using Turmeric

Did you know that you can make the most beautiful Easter eggs using turmeric? They will look like sunshine and brighten up your Easter table without chemicals and artificial colors.

You can, of course, use real eggs - boiled or hollow - but if you are vegan or just not into eggs, you can buy ceramic eggs for the same purpose.

If you are using boiled eggs, you can also eat them later. Just keep them in the fridge in tightly sealed containers. Don’t keep them around for too long though, otherwise they will spoil. Shelled boiled eggs can last up to 7 days in your fridge.

Let’s get started. This is how to make Sunshine Easter Eggs:

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 4 cups of extra hot water

Directions:

  • Mix your turmeric, vinegar and water.
  • Soak your eggs in the mix anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. The longer you soak them, the darker they will be.

  • Turmeric’s main purpose is, of course, not coloring, but remedying. It is an ancient super spice with all sorts of superpowers. It’s an anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral food. You can use it as a spice in your dishes or make turmeric tea.
